But Mrs. BD likes looking at our family history via our tree ornaments. All personal, many made by our kids and from travels. I keep those in a bureau drawer in the living room - a sign of my genius.

Living room feels lifeless without it. Scrooge learned how to keep Christmas every day, without the holiday hassles. Late holiday cards this year but good photos.

Tip: If we return to England to visit relatives in winter, bring warmer clothing. 

The Met opera after the 70-min Magic Flute yesterday. They know how to put on a show, but the music is the thing. Never despair about NYC - it endures despite everything. Lots of kids there and sold out of course.
