We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
OMG I so wanted one of these until I realized the gas version is not exactly the same. There is a coal version. This stove has to be on 24/7 to work well when you are ready to cook. Nine months out of the year here would be fine, but dang it would be miserable in the summer months unless you have AC going 24/7 also!
It looks like the Aga stove I grew up with in Connecticut. My father would stoke it nine months out of the year and let it go out for the summer months. There was a hot burner and a warm burner on top and a hot oven and a warm oven. I believe Aga stoves are Swedish.
