Your link just proves the left can't meme. Because first, there isn't any reason the government should be funding grants to study "crop rotation" of beans. Second, there was almost certainly a huge amount of waste and fraud in the grant(s). Thirdly, you're suggesting studying agriculture is somehow comparable to "gender studies." Which is an absurd notion.

Being an American, I prioritize the welfare of Americans much more than that of citizens of other countries. A good number of those illegal Venezuelans are a threat to the safety of Americans. Almost all will be net service consumers, an expense paid by US citizens. Further, thew illegals who do work undercut American's wages. A plurality, perhaps a majority want us to accommodate their cultural preferences instead of adopting ours. Amazing that you need any of that explained.

In short, only someone who hates the US and wants to see it destroyed could possibly want tens of millions of illegals in the country.

Hum. Again. Federal expenditures on means tested social spending in FY '23 was about $1.6 trillion. Not only does that figure doubtlessly include huge amounts of fraud, abuse, and waste, it excludes revenue lost because of the lost productivity the welfare recipients would have generated if forced to work. Additionally, its primary function is vote buying for democrats.

Nor does it begin to account for the massive social costs of welfare, the antisocial and dysfunctional behavior it causes or enables. The fiscal costs of those behaviors is also massive.
