Blues brothers "Disco was on its way out."

If you were in the bar and dancing lifestyle in the 70's you would understand the reason Disco was on its way out. It was difficult to ask a woman to dance because the moves were not flexible. One of the two of you would get out on the floor and make a fool of yourself and the other would be frustrated. I was married and my wife and I could dance together even if not very well. But I watched as men just choose to not ask a woman to dance because of the expected failure on the floor. Make no mistake disco was a dancers dream music. Disco was king. It was fun. It was a great night out. It has never been replaced for fun dancing. Today what comes close is line dancing. If you line dance I don't need to prove that to you. In fact the controversy today is that line dancers "take over the floor". That is when the bad plays Copperhead Road I have seen 50-100 people rush up to the dance floor to dance on a floor that usually is full when 30 people are on it.
The Blues Brothers was funny and fun but it didn't save music.

They will. You can count on it.

One also has to remember that the president's party usually loses seats in the midterms. The House may not be all that hard to flip. A recent generic poll had the public voting for dems in the midterms 45-42. While it is not very accurate it is far from the wipeout being pronosticated by the voices that are saying the Democratic Party is kaput

And another thing. What percentage of the GOP's popularity can be attributed solely to Trump? Let's face it. There is a subset of GOP voters who are blindly loyal to Trump. Will they transfer that level of loyalty to the next GOP standard bearer?

If the economy goes seriously south or if inflation accelerates, frustrated voters wanting to spank the GOP will have no one else to turn to but the Democrats.

So I will continue to urinate on the parade of pundits that say the Dems are finished. I just don't believe it.

I went over to the IQ one and comment in the discussion a few times. The author makes some good points but I think is flat wrong in others.
