We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I'm an extreme misophonic and I literally got riled just reading that article. Thank God for the fact that I've never spent more than a few hours in a hospital.

I agree that Envy is the worst of the sins. It's the root of nearly all that is wrong or even evil.

On Samantha Power lying about famine in Gaza, sure it's not surprising, but also, she's not the only one. There was some bleeding heart on NPR last week that was solemnly intoning how bad things were, no aid getting through. He even started bleating about 'ketone levels' that are apparently signalling that these poor refugees, including the ones that murder unarmed Jews and take hostages, might be actually hungry now. No explanation how sophisticated medical testing is capturing the entire Palestinian population segment, but there you have it. Believe them, and you'll proudly vote Democrat from now on.
