We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Archeologist on human sacrifice/Princeton's war/Elite universities/Harvard prez... None of these people have the slightest understanding that not all cultures are equal. The more that they insist on norming cultures as equal the more they set humanity behind for the cultic belief of equality coexisting with liberty. Little wonder that pharma sells so many meds to help in the acceptance of the cult normalization.
President Trump's support of IVF is horrible. IVF creates many children, while only a few are chosen and allowed to mature into postnatal children; multitudes of others are frozen in limbo, until discarded or allowed to mature.
IVF is only by degrees less evil than abortion.
Harvard may find out just how little regard the American public has for it. They exist in a little bubble in Cambridge, kept inflated by wealthy alumni and self-important managerial elites.
The notorious Harvard social network is not that extensive, and is generally in the party out of power at the moment. They will be loud and grumpy, and their journalist sycophants will generate thousands of words of complaint.
But the overall view of your basic American is that these Harvardians have way too high of an opinion about themselves, and taxpayers are not convinced they are getting real value for their money in most areas of study and research.
