We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Community colleges have higher entry requirements.

The monster behind the curtain. The remedial classes will require new faculty and, hence, more bureaucracy to administer the program. That is what happened at the college where I once taught.
I agree with his point about shaking up the system. No on knows how this will play out. It may or may not work, but I like the way the policy has rattled everyone's cages.
It seems Trump wants to turn the clock back to the 1950s when economic tailwinds from WWII had our economy doing very well. I don't know if he can accomplish that but it will be very difficult if he can't get Government out of the way so people can create and build.
It seems that to a large extent, Trump is Gary Cooper in the move, High Noon. He is trying to do all this by himself while the GOP in the House and Senate cower and hide.
Suzi Weiss can really write! (Love on the spectrum etc.) Keeping up with popular culture is not my jam, but I check out everything about autism I run across, and her first two paragraphs hooked me. Funny and informative.

"Democrats Want 'Misgendering' And 'Deadnaming' To Be Considered Child Abuse"
Could somebody tell me what gender is? As far as I can tell it's imaginary.
